Bahama Island– Old Bahama Bay Resort & Yacht Harbour has announced its line-up of festive
guests celebrations and events for 2005. The celebrations include full moon
parties , Captain's balls, sunrise/sunset events, children's
events, gospel brunch and Bahamian Junkanoo entertainment.
MONTHLY EVENTS
Croon to the Moon - A
Full Moon Celebration
The "Croon to the Moon" event is
a beach party held each month on the Saturday closest to the
full moon. The party features: cocktails and dinner, 's'mores'
at the bonfire, live
Bahamian Junkanoo entertainment, the "Salute
to Motown" employee-performed
show with the West End Love Train , crab races for kids and live
karaoke. The event is open to all resort guests and non-guests with pre-purchased
dinner packages. The "Croon to the Moon" celebration
may be purchased by groups on non-full moon dates.

Captains' Barefoot Ball
The Captains'
Barefoot Ball is an appreciation party for Captains and Crews.
All marina and resort guests are invited to join in the celebration
and the event is "mandatory" for all Captains and
Crews.
The Ball will be held several
times throughout the year at the center dock of the Old Bahama
Bay Yacht Harbour . Special drink prices and complimentary hors
d'oeuvres will be provided. Captains and Crews will be invited
to join the "Passport to Paradise " club
for future parties and resort specials with special incentives
and benefits.
Contests will be held for:
karaoke, "the best joke," the "best fish
story" and the best "Where are you now?" story. Entertainment provided
by the West End Love Train will be featured on select
dates. This celebration is available to groups on any date.

Sunset
Celebration
The Sunset Celebration is a happy hour
party for Old Bahama Bay 's "Catch of the Day." The celebration
is a family event open to all resorts guests held at the
beachside Straw Bar .
The happy hour includes: signature
cocktails, complimentary conch fritters, souvenir photos, prizes
for your "catch," Bahamian recipes
and live "Conch Cracking," an opportunity to learn about conch
and its many uses, a ring toss tournament and the best "Sunset" music
ever written (Jimmy Buffett, the Beatles, Eric Clapton, The
Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra and others).

Junkanoo
Festival
The weekly Junkanoo festival gives guests the opportunity to experience
local sounds with live Junkanoo music. Junkanoo music is celebrated
throughout the Bahamas and features of a parade of musicians in
colorful costumes with the eclectic sounds of drum cowbells, horns,
whistles, scrapers and brass.
The festival is open to all
resort and yacht harbour guests and includes: Live "Rake and Scrape" Band, Live Junkanoo "Rush Out" and
the chance to watch the resort chef cook native peas, rice
and bread in the sand.

Surfside
Elegance
The event includes a one and a half hour sunset cruise on the
sparkling blue Atlantic waters that surround Old Bahama Bay . After
the cruise guests can enjoy an elegant candlelight dinner under
the stars while listening to love ballads. The dinner is followed
by a Friday Night Fever disco party at the Straw Bar.

Sunrise
Celebration
The Sunrise Celebration features a beachside breakfast at the
resort's Straw Bar. The breakfast is open to all resort and

and coffee and a "Spiritual Awakening" to the best recorded "sunrise" music
ever recorded including the Beatles, Diana Krall, Norah Jones,
the Eagles, Enya and many others.

Night at the Movies
The "Kids' Night at the Movies" is an organized family movie
event held in Old Bahama Bay's fitness center for all resort

Gospel
Sunday Brunch
Gospel Sunday Brunch is held every Sunday in Aqua restaurant
at Old Bahama Bay and features a brunch buffet, champagne
mimosas and live gospel music "strolling" in the dining rooms
on the docks and throughout the resort.
The brunch is open to all resort guests, Grand Bahama Island residents
and churches. Churches presenting gospel singers will receive a
$100 donation from Old Bahama Bay to the church and discounts for
children's meals.
