West End, Grand Bahama Island - Old Bahama Bay Resort & Yacht Harbour has received Bahamian government approval to expand the size and scope of its development program at West End, Grand Bahama Island to include an additional 78 acres of land and a host of new amenities and facilities. Highlights of its updated Master Plan include:

A beachfront site for a new 150 - 200 room full service hotel with lobby and reception area, meeting rooms, restaurants and private pool.

A marina village area to include the Customs House Restaurant, beach-side pool and retail shops along a brick paved promenade adjacent to the main marina.

Expanding the main marina to approximately 180 slips including new mega-yacht slips, new Customs & Immigration Center , dive shop, charter fishing center and related facilities.

A full service Spa equipped with over-water treatment rooms that feature clear acrylic floors to view underwater reefs and sea life.

Two beautiful parks - one at Settlement Point which will include a lighthouse and wedding chapel and stairways to the Settlement Point snorkeling reefs. The second on the north jetty featuring a jogging trail, exercise stations, fishing platforms and an all-weather Pavilion for group functions.

Additional amenities including a lighted, fully landscaped 18-hole putting course, and a bicycle, electric car, and golf cart rental transportation center.

Approximately 45 - 50 additional single family home-sites at Settlement Point and along a new waterway to the east of the existing waterways.

A variety of multi-family condominiums totaling an estimated 450 to 500 units adjacent to the main marina, along the new waterway and facing both the north and south beachfront areas.

The resort has developed and sold 85 residential waterfront and oceanfront home-sites.
