ROBERT
KRAMM APPOINTED CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
AND GENERAL MANAGER FOR OLD BAHAMA BAY
WEST END, GRAND BAHAMA
ISLAND, April 28, 2004 - Old Bahama Bay, the premiere luxury
resort, residential and marina community located in
West End, Grand Bahama Island, has appointed Robert
Kramm, a highly accomplished and experienced hospitality
and industry veteran to the position of Chief Operating
Officer and General Manager.
Mr. Kramm brings over thirty years of experience
in luxury and full-service hotels, resorts, clubs
and professional sports and entertainment complexes,
to Old Bahama Bay, including fifteen years with Marriott
and Sheraton Corporations. He is widely acclaimed
for his abilities to lead organizations to new levels
of operating excellence, marketing supremacy and fiscal
responsibility.
As Chief Operating Officer
and General Manager, Mr. Kramm is responsible for
overall operations of the resort, which includes
sales, marketing, administration, real estate, food
and beverage. Additionally, he oversees the company’s
development projects, which includes beachfront
residences, golf course, and an airstrip to be completed
in 2004.
“Bob Kramm has enjoyed a wide variety of successful
endeavors and is particularly known for his team leadership
skills, high standards, and sales and marketing expertise.
I feel he will be a real contributor to Old Bahama
Bay”, said Allen G. Ten Broek, President and
CEO of West End Resorts, Ltd., the resort’s
developer.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Kramm served as General
Manager of the Pier 66 Resort and Marina in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida; Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for
the Florida Marlins major league baseball team; and
President of Pro Player Stadium Corporation, home
of the Marlins and the Miami Dolphins professional
football team.

His success as a
leader can be measured not only by his skills and abilities,
but a proven track record of financial success. In
1996, while President of Pro Player Stadium, he achieved
a significant increase, more than 100% in revenue,
through a restructuring of the sales and marketing
organization and a “value-added” upgrading
of the total “fan experience” for all 700
annual events.
“I am excited with the opportunity to lead the
Old Bahama Bay hospitality team to new and expanded levels
of service and provide memorable vacation experiences
for our guests”, said Kramm. “ Old Bahama
Bay is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new
properties in The Bahamas and the Caribbean.”
